Once upon a time, in a posh area of London, lived a happy English family. In this family, there was 1 boy, 1 girl and 2 parents. Marie, the mother, was a very bright woman. She was very kind and clever. Marie had long blonde hair, with blue eyes as blue as the sky. Smith, the father, was a very strong man who had gone through some tough times. When he was younger, he lost both his parents and he grew up with his grandma. Both parents worked 9 to 5 jobs.
The 2 siblings in this family didn’t have the best relationship as they were very different. Jack was the cool and popular kid but Malissa was a very introverted person. Even though they differed, they both suffered from the same obsession. They both loved watching their phones.
One rainy, grim, day Marie came back home late with some news. As she entered the door, she looked very excited. “Kids, I have some exciting news. We are going on holiday in an off-grid home in the beautiful fields in the east of France!” As soon as the kids heard the word holiday, they turned their heads and paid all their attention immediately. All of a sudden, their opinions changed. “What! Why not on a beach or in the mountains like we usually do?” said Jack with anger flowing in his veins.
“Well me and your father think that you kids have been spending way too much time on your devices, so we are going to a house with no wifi” Replied Marie. Jack and Malissa’s jaws dropped. “But..” Jack was interrupted.
“No buts, we are going to this house and nothing is going to change,” said Marie ending the conversation.
A few weeks later, the family set off on a long road trip to France. After a 4-hour boat journey, many stops and a lot of complaining, the Family arrived at the house. In the eyes of the two kids, this house was worse than expected. This house was just like a ghost house. This house was horrible. From the outside, it was a small, old wooden chalet-type house with 2 little solar panels on the roof. The outer wood was so old that there were mini wood worms crawling around in it. The windows were so dirty that it looked like 100 people wiped their hands on it. In addition, the windows were so cracked that it looked like there had been a gunfight.
In the house, it wasn’t much better. There were 2 ripped sofas at the entrance, and right next to it, there was a tiny kitchen with only 1 working hub. Upstairs, there were 3 rooms. The beds were as hard as nails and the lights were as dim as the turkeys in the farm next to the house. This was just a horror to live in. “Do we really have to sleep here? We may as well sleep outside,” complained Jack.
“Oh come on Jack, we are only sleeping 3 nights here and it is not that bad,” replied Marie with patience.
On the first night staying in this house, quiet Malissa had a very strange and scary dream. She dreamt something had come to the farm and brutally killed all the turkeys. This was very weird. Malissa rarely had nightmares, and this nightmare didn’t really bother her.
The next morning, the family were having a very relaxed morning until Jack went outside to see all the turkeys dead. When Malissa went to see what was happening, Malissa spotted some bright red blood stains splattered all over her shoes. Malissa felt her stomach sink in nervousness. When she went outside, what was in front of her was just horrible and traumatising. Some turkeys were ripped apart, some were missing limbs and body parts. When Malissa saw this, it added to her shock. Malissa had shivers down her spine and she didn’t want to say any of this to her family.
During the whole day, Malissa worried about her dream and she kept on thinking about it. When it was time to go to bed, Malissa didn’t sleep for a bit until she dozed off. In her dream, Malissa was about to brutally kill all her family with the garden machete that was sitting outside. Right before the murder was going to happen, Malissa woke up. As she spread her arms out, she realised that she wasn’t in her bed. As Malissa slowly opened her eyes, she saw that she was in her parents’ room staring at the 2 innocent parents. The sharp garden machete was sitting on the floor with sweat dripping off it. As each drop of sweat hit the ground, Malissa worried more and more. After a minute of deep thinking, Malissa came to the conclusion of telling her parents.
“Mum, Dad, wake up! Quickly!” shouted a very scared Malissa. Half asleep, Marie replied,
“What’s up sweetie? You don’t need to shout.”
“I do need to shout! Trust me! Last night I dreamt that I killed all of the turkeys and it happened. Tonight, I dreamt that I was going to kill you, and I woke up here! Just trust me!” said Malissa.
“I think that you just need to get some rest, I think all of this nonsense has come from your silly TikTok videos. In the morning, we can talk about this” replied Marie, ending the conversation. Malissa ran back to her room stressed and she didn’t want to go to sleep. She tried many things to keep her awake but as time was passing by, she became very tired. After a few hours of waiting, she fell asleep. In her dream, Malissa was going to kill her parents. Poor, innocent Malissa was trying everything to wake up but she just couldn’t. It was too late now.
To this day, this house is haunted and it is said that you can still hear the loud screams of terror of this family.
