The Garden of the Exiled, a place everyone had heard of, but only one person had ever been sent to. It is said that you would have to have committed the most notorious crimes to have been sent to such a place, yet, no one knows what the person who was sent there did, or who they even are. There are rumors saying they attacked the royal family, or were a huge threat to our entire kingdom somehow, but nothing that has been said is certain…

April 13th, 1649. The day the second person ever was sent to the Garden of the Exiled. It was a windy and cloudy day, with it occasionally raining tiny bits at a time. What happened that day is something no one would have ever expected. The first ever attack against the Wintheria Kingdom occurred. A citizen, one that everyone was convinced was a witch because she was born with unique hair and eyes that none had seen before, had been tired of being treated like some monster. She decided that if people thought she was a monster, she would actually become one to the kingdom.
No one ever thought that she would do anything, but that day, when everything began setting fire, being destroyed, they all finally realized how badly they had messed up. The havoc that was released in an instant that day, was over almost as quickly as it started. Even though it was quick, many homes were destroyed and thousands of lives had been lost. The guards of the kingdom put a stop to everything quickly, and when the girl who did it was found, she was immediately taken into custody. The guards weren’t expecting a 19 year old girl who was barely 5 ‘7 to be the one who brought terror to the kingdom.
While in custody, they tried questioning her, but she wouldn’t speak. The only thing they were able to get out of her was her name. “Chara”. It was the only thing she said. They ran out of time for her to talk. They had to carry out her punishment. She was given a choice between death or going to the garden of the exiled, and in a last attempt to keep her life, Chara chose to go to the garden.
6:32 P.M. Chara was led through the kingdom surrounded by guards, till they arrived at an old, abandoned tower on the outskirts of Wintheria Kingdom. In the tower, she was met by an old, frail lady. Despite how frail and weak the lady looked, she turned out to be a relatively powerful witch, and she was also the “owner” of the garden. Chara and the lady, whose name turned out to be Willow, walked up to the very top room of the tower, where the spell to send Chara to the garden would take place. They arrived in the room, the walls filled with books, potions, and overgrown vines. In the middle, one book lay on a stool. Willow approaches it and picks it up. She directs Chara to stand in the middle of the room. When Chara gets to the middle, Willow starts the spell. It seems to be in a different language, but Chara could hardly hear it..
7:06 P.M. The room begins filling with vines and flowers, and in front of Chara, a portal opens. Bright light shines through the woodland-themed frame. Willow directs Chara to step through the portal and into the bright light. As she does, she feels the world shifting, almost as if it was completely warping. When shifting, Everything went dark. Chara passed out. Her body couldn’t take the pressure from the magic.
??? When Chara awoke, she was in a completely different area. She woke up in what seemed to be a grass plains area, and a few hundred feet away, she could see a forest and mountains. In the Garden, everything seemed brighter. All the colors were more vibrant, and everything was much prettier than in Wintheria. She didn’t understand why this was a punishment, as everything seemed better than in Wintheria.
It didn’t take Chara long to realize why the Garden was a punishment. For one, she was completely alone, there were no other people there with her. Two, she had to figure out how to survive. There didn’t seem to be any other animals that she could eat, and she didn’t know what plants there might be either, or if they were poisonous. Third, she didn’t know if there was even a set time for how long she was gonna be there.
As the realization of these three things set it, she began panicking and regretting what she had done. She started calming herself down, and decided to go explore the forest to try to find something, anything that could help or save her. She entered the forest. As she walked through the forest, she heard bushes rustling. She tried ignoring it, but curiosity got the better of her, so she decided to check the bushes. She was relieved when she saw it was just a black cat following her. But panic settled over her when the cat turned light and turned into a snake and it started trying to bite her and harm her.
Chara ran, and more animals started chasing her. It was at this point she was begging for Willow to let her out, though she didn’t know if she could be heard. Chara exited the forest and animals stopped following once she was out. She headed back to the middle, and there, she saw the same portal Willow sent her through. She went through it, and in an instant, she was back in Wintheria. She was left with a note saying “Your punishment is over, you will now be reborn and given a second chance.” And after she finished reading it, she saw white lights again, and in the same instant she was back, everything was forgotten, and she was born again.
