Melody, a young woman wanting to become a nurse, completed her course at one of the most prestigious nursing schools in her country. Melody had always been fascinated with the idea of a nurse and was pursuing to become one herself. Well, now she can become a nurse, but Melody doesn’t wish to be an average, any day nurse. She wants to become an astonishing and remarkable nurse that no one will forget. She wants people to look up to her when they are lost. There is one goal left in Melody’s life: To pass a four day nursing exam. Unfortunately, this is no ordinary exam. This exam has never been passed by anyone, but not because they didn’t pass it, because each nurse that took this “exam” was declared as missing, had quit, or had been sent to jail for murder. The police and many detectives had thought it was quite suspicious and searched the three leaders of the program, but found no evidence to back it up. So, in the end, the case was closed, and it was labeled as the hardest nursing exam of all time. Melody didn’t pay even the slightest attention to any of those “rumors”, as she called them. Melody applied to take the exam and was told to come as early as tomorrow to the practice hospital they worked in. Melody was confident in her nursing abilities and was also confident she was going to prove them wrong. However, she had no idea what would happen in the next four days.
Day one
Melody had just arrived outside of the building. It looked like a normal hospital, except it was a lot smaller because it was only a training center. She walked into the building, slightly nervous, and was then greeted by three people: Bridgette, Agatha, and Lucie, who Melody assumed to be the three leaders of the program. They were a lot friendlier than she had pictured them to be. Bridgette had spent the first hour touring Melody around the whole building. Agatha had spent most of her time trying to befriend Melody, and the rest of her time on her phone. Lucie, however, didn’t talk to Melody as much, and just spent most of her time sitting down in the waiting room staring at Melody and scribbling down on a little notepad. Melody had gone home early and was told that the first day was just for kicks, but Melody had a weird feeling clinging to her, but she couldn’t quite tell what it was.
Day two
The next day, Melody had gotten much more work done on, assumably, fake patients and answering questions from the others. However, they were more interested in finding out about where she went to school and other things about her life than they were about asking her nursing questions. She had a normal day and proceeded to go home.
Day three
Melody came to work on the third day very confident she had made it this far. She proceeded to do very hard work, but she noticed that they were using a lot of sharper tools than usual. Bridgette had cut Melody, and, fortunately, Melody was able to take a step back at the time making it only a slight cut. Agatha had somehow “accidentally” almost poisoned her. Lucie, who was still her usual, normal self, accidentally locked Melody in a storage closet with low oxygen levels. She didn’t pay any attention though, and the day went on fine. This day she had gone home early again but got caught in bad traffic. However, just when the light turned green, a car flew right in front of her, forcing her to stop abruptly. The car had crashed straight into a pole and glass flew everywhere. Melody thought to herself, Why is everything aimed at me today?
Day four
Melody didn’t want to come to the exam this early, rainy morning because she was feeling slightly ill, but she decided to because it was the last day of the “exam” and she was almost finished, which gave her a LOT of motivation. Melody showed up at the building but couldn’t find anyone. She searched and called for the three of them, but no one was there, even the lights were off. Melody decided to sit down, but, when she opened her phone, she heard a faint screaming noise in the background. It was Lucie. Melody stood up, alarmed, and ran towards the back of the hospital where she heard Lucie. She finally came across a room that looked somewhat rusty, but saw nothing there. Moments later, Melody heard a loud Bang! and fell down.
Day twelve
Melody woke up in a blur. She looked around and came to the conclusion that she was in a bed in an unfamiliar hospital. She was told that she had nearly been shot right through the heart by Bridgette but Lucie had stopped her, making it only through her left arm. Melody sprang out of the bed, and many doctors tried to stop her but failed. She sprinted down the hallways with an aching headache but managed to stop in a storage room where nobody else was. Melody opened her phone, which was still in her pocket and somehow not out of battery yet, and checked the news channel. Melody was all over the news. It talked about how she had passed the exam and how Lucie stopped Agatha and Bridgette. Wasn’t Lucie on their team, though? she had thought. Well, it turns out Lucie was a hostage to the both of them. Melody couldn’t believe what she had just heard, but it made sense. Lucie was never talkative and was always nervous and uncomfortable. Then, the realization hit her again. She had passed the exam! She was so overjoyed and felt like she was finally complete, but what happened to Bridgette and Agatha? She searched and searched but couldn’t find anything on the two of them. Had they somehow escaped?
